The foundation stone of this religious building was laid on July 4, 1722, and construction continued for 17 years until its consecration in 1739.
The interior walls display Baroque frescoes created by Johann Georg Etgens from Brno, representing religious themes and artistic elements of the period.
The church stands as part of Rajhrad Monastery complex, located 10 kilometers south of Brno along the left bank of the Svratka River.
The structure was designed by Jan Santini Aichel, incorporating mathematical precision in its architectural layout while maintaining traditional east-west orientation.
