Kamenný vrch nad Myslivnou, Nature reserve in Brno-Nový Lískovec and Kohoutovice, Czech Republic.
Kamenný vrch nad Myslivnou is a nature reserve in the southeastern highlands east of Brno, located on limestone soils with dry grasslands. The area covers roughly 14 hectares and sits at an elevation of about 385 meters.
The area was established as a protected natural monument by Brno's National Committee in 1978 and later reclassified as a nature reserve by the Environment Ministry. This reclassification allowed for stronger protection of the sensitive ecosystems at this location.
The location is named for its distinctive hilltop position and is used by the community as an important site for nature observation. Visitors find here a place where conservation efforts are visible in daily activities and volunteers regularly participate.
The site is regularly maintained through mowing and cleaning to preserve natural habitats and control non-native growth. Visitors should stay on marked paths and treat the sensitive plant and animal life with care.
The area supports the world's largest population of a particular pasque flower species with around 63.000 plant clusters and provides rare habitat for specialized beetle species. This remarkable concentration makes the location of special interest to naturalists and botanists.
