Ostra horka, Observation tower in Soběšice, Czech Republic
The wooden structure rises 19.1 meters into the sky, offering a viewing platform at 16 meters above ground for observing the surrounding landscape.
The observation tower, completed in 2008 after three years of construction, required an investment of 1.8 million Czech crowns from municipal funds and local contributors.
Local residents gather at the tower throughout the year for community events while photographers capture images of Spilberk castle and Petrov cathedral from above.
Visitors can reach the tower by taking tram number 1 or buses 42 and 70 to Reckovice, followed by a forest path marked with yellow signs.
The structure exhibits a slight tilt that becomes noticeable when climbing to the top, where strong winds create additional sensations for observers.
