The memorial stands 16 meters high and consists of stone blocks constructed to honor the military leader Jan Žižka and his victory at the Battle of Sudoměř.
The monument commemorates the Battle of Sudoměř fought on March 25, 1420, where approximately 400 Hussite forces defeated 2,000 royal troops during the Hussite Wars.
The site serves as an important educational location where Czech students learn about the Hussite movement and its significance for religious and social reform in medieval Bohemia.
Visitors can reach the memorial by car with parking available one kilometer away, or by following green and blue hiking trails that lead directly to the monument.
Four wooden statues of Hussite warriors carved from a single storm-felled oak tree in 2011 stand near the main monument, representing courage and unity of the movement.
