Pasecká skála, Natural monument in Studnice, Czech Republic
Pasecká skála is a rock formation in the protected landscape area of Žďárské vrchy. The three main cliff faces reach approximately 819 meters and feature naturally fractured stone with crevices and small caves carved by frost over time.
Czech authorities designated this site as a natural monument in 1979 in recognition of its geological importance. The protection acknowledged the need to preserve the rock formations and their natural environment.
Local climbers have established more than 100 different climbing routes across the rock formations, with difficulty ratings ranging up to UIAA grade 8.
Access is via marked hiking trails, with a blue-marked path from Hotel Medlov and a green-marked route connecting Kadov and Studnice. The trails are clearly signed to help you navigate the area.
The rock is popular with climbers who have developed over 100 different climbing routes across the formations. The variety of routes and difficulty levels makes it a sought-after destination for sport climbers.
