Zámek Odolena Voda

Odolena Voda Castle is a three-winged Baroque structure positioned at the town center with balanced facades and a central courtyard. The complex still contains preserved arcaded walkways that shape the overall appearance of the property.

The original structure was built between 1556 and 1563 as a Renaissance fortress. After 1764, Jesuits undertook major renovations that transformed the building into a Baroque design.

The chapel inside dates to the 18th century and shows how religious spaces were built directly into noble homes. This combination of prayer room and residence was common among wealthy families of that era.

The building stands about 18 kilometers north of Prague and remains privately owned. Since it is still undergoing restoration work, check in advance about which areas are open to visitors.

Seven Renaissance arches from around 1600 remain visible in the courtyard, offering a glimpse of the original construction. These arches demonstrate the craftsmanship of the building's early phase.
