Staré Sedlo Chateau is a neoclassical manor with a symmetrical facade, tall windows, and slender columns that express 18th-century elegance. The building displays the hallmarks of this style, with balanced proportions and formally arranged interior spaces.

A fortress stood here by the 14th century, on the spur above the right bank of the Ohře where houses no. 52 and 53 now are. The Neoclassical château was probably built at the end of the 18th century by Loket entrepreneur František Miessel. In 1816 Johann David Starck of Kraslice bought it, moved his firm's headquarters here, and it served as the Starck works' directorate and later the family seat.

The château's name comes from the village of Staré Sedlo, where a fortress stood as early as the 14th century. Since 2004 the building has housed the municipal office and a kindergarten, and a statue of Saint Florian, declared a cultural monument in 2017, stands before the main entrance.

The château now houses the municipal office and a kindergarten, so visits focus on the exterior: the mansard roof, the three-sided projections of the facade and the terrace wall of quarried stone above the Ohře valley. The statue of Saint Florian stands before the main entrance.

A medieval fortress once stood on the spur above the right bank of the Ohře, on the site of houses no. 52 and 53 and their gardens; traces of it survive there. The château itself was built later, probably at the end of the 18th century.
