Rozhledna Vrbice, Observation tower in Vrbice, Czech Republic

Rozhledna Vrbice is a 30-metre wooden observation tower on Kastel hill (444 m) above the village of Vrbice, built in 2005 to Antonín Olšina's design. A steel spiral staircase of 118 steps leads to two viewing platforms at 11 and 25.5 metres.

A military-built lookout tower stood on Kastel hill from 1937 to 1946, serving as a triangulation point and reaching 37 metres. The present wooden tower, designed by Ing. Antonín Olšina, was erected in autumn 2005 and opened on 15 April 2006; the municipality of Vrbice runs it.

The tower is run by the municipality of Vrbice, which keeps it open daily in the main tourist season and only at weekends outside it. The name Kastel for the hill above the village is the local label visitors will see on signs along the approach.
