Růžový palouček

Růžový palouček is a memorial site near Morašice with a copper monument surrounded by French rose bushes. The entire setting occupies an open meadow designed as a quiet place for reflection.

A local organization acquired the meadow in 1906 intending to create a memorial space. The site was later developed to commemorate the departure of Czech Protestants during the religious conflicts of the 17th century.

The name means "Pink Meadow" and the site serves as a place where visitors encounter the personal stories of Czech exiles who were forced to flee. The landscape itself has become a symbol of religious persecution and the struggle for freedom of conscience.

The site can be reached by marked hiking trails from multiple directions and has parking spaces near the memorial. It is best visited during daylight hours since it is an open natural area without artificial lighting.

The rose variety Rosa Gallica that covers the site is linked by local tradition to the tears of the expelled Czech Brethren. This connection between the botanical reality and the emotional history gives the place deeper meaning for visitors.
