Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary in Bozkov is a baroque church with a 49-meter tower housing three bells and displaying ornate interior decorations throughout. The building features a recently renovated walkway encircling it, allowing visitors to view the architecture from different angles.
Countess Marie Polyxena Desfours commissioned this church in 1690 to replace an earlier wooden structure that stood 20 meters to the south. The baroque building received artistic embellishments including painted vaults that were added in the decades following its construction.
The interior contains multiple altars created in 1757 by Josef Jelinek from Kosmonosy and a small museum holding religious objects in the oratory. These pieces reflect how the space has served as a center for worship and devotion over centuries.
The church is accessible via a walkway that circles the entire building and offers different viewing angles. The approach is straightforward and the surrounding area is suitable for walking around to appreciate the exterior from various points.
The oratory preserves a coffered ceiling from 1693 with floral patterns, while the main nave received vault paintings in a later period. This blend of early and later artistic elements shows how the interior was enriched over time.
