Slunečná is a wooden observation tower with steel elements, built on a reinforced concrete foundation with a white limestone base. Its platform leans atypically toward Velké Pavlovice, and the structure stands 225 metres above sea level on the Modré hory cycling trail.

Construction of the tourist area began on 9 March 2009 under the Czech-Slovak cross-border programme 2007–2013, project "Rozhlédni se a poznávej", with the Slovak town of Senica as foreign partner; the two towns had signed a partnership agreement in 2002. The tower was designed by Ing. Martin Novák with Ing. Antonín Olšina.

The tower stands on the Nadzahrady vineyard tract above Velké Pavlovice, on the Modré hory cycling route, and its Slovak partner is the town of Senica, 50 km away as the crow flies. The name Slunečná means sunny, fitting a platform tilted toward the village and the vineyards.

The tower stands on the Nadzahrady vineyard plot on the Modré hory cycling route, 225 m above sea level, and can be reached by car, with a small car park beside it. Entry is free and access is unrestricted. The platform overhangs toward Velké Pavlovice; the finest view is west, over the Mušov lakes and the Pálava silhouette.

The viewing platform is cantilevered and leans noticeably toward Velké Pavlovice, an atypical shape designed by Martin Novák with Antonín Olšina. From the top, the partner town of Senica in Slovakia lies about 50 km away, and the Kraví hora tower near Bořetice about 2.8 km off.
