Polná Castle is a baroque fortress in the town of Polná featuring a monumental church at the heart of the complex. The church measures approximately 63 meters in length and 26 meters in width, with a tower rising to about 63 meters in height.
The site's origins trace back to the second half of the 12th century, with first written records appearing in 1242. Over the following centuries, it developed into an important center of faith and authority in the region.
The church interior displays baroque craftsmanship with elaborate stucco work created by Florentine artisans. Visitors can understand the religious importance of the place through the ten altars and two pipe organs that shaped the spiritual life of the region.
