Bezno Castle

Bezno Castle is a baroque château located in a small Bohemian village and features a symmetrical facade with refined decorative elements from the mid-18th century. The building displays classic baroque characteristics including ornate windows, a structured front elevation, and decorative details at the corners and roof line.

The castle was built in 1742 when the Pachta family acquired the property and replaced an older fortress with a new baroque structure. The most recent major renovation occurred in 1817, when the building was modernized and received the features it displays today.

The castle reflects the taste of 18th-century Bohemian nobility through its ornate details and room arrangement that you can observe while walking around it. The carefully designed facade shows how wealthy families expressed their power and status through architecture.

The castle sits 9 kilometers southwest of Mladá Boleslav and can be reached via road I/16 connecting to the D10 motorway. As it remains privately owned, you can view the exterior but should arrange a visit in advance.

A statue of Venus stands in the castle gardens, adding an artistic touch to the grounds. This sculpture is a quiet reminder of the art collections that wealthy families displayed in their estates during the baroque period.
