Hradenín, Castle ruins in Hradenín, Czech Republic
The fortified house features a five-story residential tower surrounded by a moat carved into the rock and includes a Renaissance stone bridge.
The fortress existed in 1398 when wealthy Kutná Hora citizen Mikuláš Písek of Hradenín owned it, followed by Reinhard of Müllhausen in 1409.
The reconstruction of the tower and its roof structure received recognition in the Patrimonium pro Futuro competition organized by the National Heritage Institute.
The Regional Museum of Kolín manages the site and implements restoration work to prevent further deterioration of this medieval architectural structure.
The fortress demonstrates an architectural transition between a castle and a fortified manor house, with late Gothic modifications including vaulted ceilings.
