The bridge over Švihov Reservoir near Bernartice is a reinforced concrete structure that carries regional road traffic across the water. It measures over 300 meters in length and provides a direct crossing for vehicles and pedestrians between the surrounding settlements.
The bridge was completed in 1968 during a period of infrastructure expansion in Czechoslovakia. Its construction improved regional connectivity and supported the development of settlements on both sides of the reservoir.
The structure serves as a connection point for local communities, enabling residents to maintain relationships across the Švihov Reservoir's waters.
Stopping is prohibited on the bridge itself, but cars can park on either side of the road just before it. Narrow footpaths run along both edges of the 13-metre-wide deck, and the reservoir widens to 400–500 metres toward the dam and 600–1000 metres to the southwest.
The bridge has no settled name: its informative sign reads "most přes VN Švihov", and on road II/150 it carries the number 150-012. In the index of the Encyklopedie mostů v Čechách, na Moravě a ve Slezsku it appears under DOLNÍ KRALOVICE – road bridge, after the old town drowned by the reservoir, and many maps leave it unnamed.
