The functionalist church exhibits clean lines and straightforward design elements, with a prominent clock tower adorning its main facade.
The church, completed in 1729, represents the first independent architectural creation by Kilian Ignaz Dientzenhofer following his father's initial plans.
The interior contains ceiling frescoes painted by V. V. Reiner that illustrate important events from Saint John of Nepomuk's life.
The church opens daily from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM during summer months and 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM in winter, with free admission.
After its closure by Emperor Joseph II in 1784, the building temporarily served as a salt warehouse before returning to religious service.
