The church stands atop the Cvilín Hill, featuring twin towers, stone walls, and detailed architectural elements characteristic of 18th-century religious structures.
The construction of the church took place between 1722 and 1728 under the supervision of architects Andreas and Georg Friedrich Gans.
The interior holds artworks by Brno artists, including paintings by František Řehoř Ignác Eckstein and sculptures by Ondřej Schweigl.
Visitors can reach the church through marked hiking trails that connect to the Via Czechia - Silesian Trail network.
Four citizens of Krnov purchased the church in 1786 to prevent its demolition when it was scheduled for destruction.
