Orthodox church of Saint Ludmila, Russian Orthodox church in Bubeneč, Prague, Czech Republic

The Orthodox Church of Saint Ludmila stands at Sibiřské náměstí 10 in Bubeneč, on the grounds of the Russian Federation embassy. It occupies a former exhibition pavilion of the Russian trade office, later rebuilt with domes and a bell tower and consecrated on 29 December 2012. It is dedicated to Saint Ludmila (860–921), grandmother of Saint Wenceslas.

The church was consecrated on 29 December 2012 by Archbishop Mark of Vienna and Austria, representing Patriarch Kirill, together with Metropolitan Christopher of the Czech Lands and Slovakia. It occupies a former exhibition pavilion of the Russian trade mission, where Soviet agricultural machinery and engineering products were once displayed, later replaced by vintage cars. It is the third Moscow Patriarchate church in the Czech Republic.

The church is dedicated to Saint Ludmila (860–921), grandmother of Saint Wenceslas, a Czech martyr. It is the third church of the Moscow Patriarchate on Czech soil, after Saints Peter and Paul in Karlovy Vary and Saint George the Victorious at the Russian embassy in Prague. Services are held in Czech or Russian.

The church stands on the grounds of the Russian Federation embassy at Sibiřské náměstí 10 in Bubeneč, Prague 6, so access is via the embassy compound. Czech and Russian are used at services. The building was closed by authorities under the pretext of reconstruction, so check current access before visiting.
