Šmukýřka is a protected homestead in Košíře with a main residence, storage building, and various agricultural structures arranged around a central courtyard. Today it contains modern apartments with terraces and garage parking.
The site was first recorded as a vineyard in the 15th century and was owned by a Carthusian monastery. A Prague resident named Václav z Hrobky purchased it in 1424.
The name comes from merchants who sold fine goods during the 17th century. This trade heritage still shapes the character of the place today.
The property is now a residential complex with historical structures still visible throughout. Visitors should respect that this is primarily private space with limited public access.
A small chapel dedicated to Saint Procopius sits along the property boundary. It served for regular worship services between 1904 and 1909.
