Central building of Ořechovka

The Central Building of Ořechovka is a communal center in Střešovice featuring exposed brick walls, half-timbered gables, and multiple interior facilities. Inside you will find an Art Deco cinema hall, a theater space, a dance hall, and a restaurant serving the local community.

The structure was built between 1921 and 1924 following World War I, designed by architect Jaroslav Vondrák as the center of a new residential area for civil servants. It emerged as part of a larger plan to house working families in this developing garden city.
