The Church of Saint Albert is a neo-Gothic church of exposed brick with a cross-shaped plan and a tall tower at the main entrance. It has a three-nave hall with narrow side aisles supported by four widely spaced, heavily profiled pillars, and decorative towers around the presbytery.

The church was built between 1882 and 1885 at the expense of Archduke Albrecht Friedrich Habsburg, following a design by Albín Theodor Prokop, director of the Těšín Chamber from 1871. Since 2010 it has been protected as a cultural monument together with the parish house, bell-ringer's cottage and farm building.

The church maintains regular Catholic services under the Roman Catholic Diocese of Ostrava-Opava while supporting local community gatherings throughout the year.

The church stands at 305 m above sea level in Třinec, with its tall west tower rising 14 m and marking the main entrance. The building is a protected monument together with the nearby parish house, bell-ringer's cottage and farm building, so the whole church grounds can be walked around.

The church is dedicated to Saint Albert of Jerusalem, not Albertus Magnus. Its designer, Albín Theodor Prokop, director of the Těšín Chamber from 1871, also designed the churches in Bystřice and Horní Lomná.
