Dvořákovo nábřeží, Riverfront in Old Town, Czech Republic
Dvořákovo nábřeží is a waterfront area in Prague's Old Town stretching along the Vltava River with direct views of Prague Castle and the Hradčany district. The street alternates between one-way and two-way traffic depending on which section between the bridges you are walking.
Originally called Sanitary Street, the area contained spas and timber yards before its formal development in 1904. It later became an integral part connecting the city center to the riverbanks.
The riverfront takes its name from composer Antonín Dvořák, reflecting Prague's artistic heritage along the water. You can observe how locals use this public space for walking and pausing while facing the river.
The Bohemia Port here is Prague's only accessible pier offering river cruises and boat services for getting around. Visitors should note that conditions and access may vary depending on the season and time of day.
The area includes the Charles University Faculty of Law building designed by architect Ladislav Machoň between 1928 and 1929. This structure reflects the architectural style of that era and shapes how the waterfront appears to visitors.
