Church of the Sacred Heart, Gothic Revival church in Kristiánov, Czech Republic

The Church of the Sacred Heart is a Gothic Revival church building located in Kristiánov. The structure displays traditional religious architectural elements characteristic of this revivalist style.

Built in 1896 together with the adjacent Ursuline convent, the church served the teaching order until the German sisters were expelled in 1945. Czech sisters continued until the convent was dissolved in 1950, after which the church was used as a warehouse. It was returned to the Ursulines in 1990 and lent to the Orthodox Church in 1995.

The church serves the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia, welcoming a congregation that maintains Eastern Orthodox traditions in this neighborhood. It functions as a gathering place where the local Orthodox community comes together for worship and religious observances.

The building is located at Klášterní street 117/2 near the Saint Ursula Monastery in Liberec. The site is easy to find and situated in an established religious quarter with other historical structures nearby.

The iconostasis was made in Liberec in 1959–1960 for the Church of the Finding of the Holy Cross; it is wider than the triumphal arch here, which is why the church was consecrated to the Transfiguration. The patronal feast falls on 19 August, since the community follows the Julian calendar.
