An apartment building once occupied this site before destruction during World War II altered the landscape. Later, the location gained new purpose when this educational center was established, while earlier remnants like medieval church walls were preserved.

Original wall paintings from the submerged Church of St. John the Baptist remain visible here, showing artistic choices from centuries past. These remnants connect visitors to people who once gathered in this now-vanished place.
