Poděbrady gloriet is an octagonal two-story structure with profiled cornices and arched windows rising above the Elbe River. The terraces feature detailed metalwork decorations that frame views toward the water.
The structure was built between 1818 and 1820 by Fridrich and Veronika Ulrych as a pleasure pavilion. It became part of the Evangelical parish house garden in 1901 and has remained there since.
The gazebo holds recognition as a cultural monument reflecting its architectural significance within the region. It stands as the last remaining structure of its distinctive type in the area and continues to define the local landscape.
The structure has been extensively restored and is accessible today, with staircases and terraces open for exploration. Access is best from the Evangelical parish house garden, where visiting information is available.
The interior retains its original wooden flooring and vaulted ceilings, preserving the craftsmanship of its builders. The surrounding terraced grounds once held grapevines before trees gradually replaced them over time.
