Poděbrady gloriet is an octagonal two-story pavilion about five metres in outer diameter, built on two opuka-stone terraces above the Labe. Its facade is divided by two richly profiled cornices and by real and blind windows with šambrány surrounds. The upper floor, entered from the parish garden, has a wooden floor, a placka vault, four arched windows with louvred shutters and two niches; opposite the entrance, double doors open onto a 130 × 70 cm balcony with a wrought-iron grille bearing the initials FWU. A low octagonal cupola with a small orb and a weathervane dated 1945 tops the roof.

The structure was built between 1818 and 1820 by Fridrich and Veronika Ulrych as a pleasure pavilion. It became part of the Evangelical parish house garden in 1901 and has remained there since.

The pavilion stands in the garden of the Evangelical parish, which bought the farmstead in 1901; the functionalist parish house and church, converted from the Ulrych family's former dwelling, stand beside it. The parish opens the gloriet during events such as the Night of Churches. The initials FWU on the balcony grille recall builder Fridrich Ulrych.

The pavilion is opened to the public only during events such as Noc kostelů (Night of Churches); there is no regular visiting access. The upper floor is entered by a door from the Evangelical parish garden, while the lower room is reached by a staircase running up through the terraces. The terraces stand above the Labské nábřeží embankment, where a busy cycle path passes under mature trees.

The balcony grille bears the wrought-iron initials FWU of builder Fridrich Ulrych, and the cupola carries a weathervane dated 1945. The lower room has an irregular plastered brick vault and a floor of fired bricks. The pavilion was saved from demolition after a 1968 heritage inspection found it near collapse.
