Hořín, Baroque château in Hořín, Czech Republic
The château stands on the left bank of the Elbe River, featuring notable architectural elements from the late 17th century with Rococo interior decorations.
Built in 1696 for the Czernin family, the château underwent modifications by architects Giovanni Battista Alliprandi and Jan Christian Spannbrucker during its development.
The structure maintains its status as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic, representing architectural traditions of Central Bohemian nobility.
The château remains closed to public access since April 2019, with restoration efforts pending under the supervision of the Monument Care Department.
The property includes an adjacent park and connects to the Vraňany-Hořín Shipping Channel, constructed in 1905 to facilitate river navigation.
