Ratměřice Castle is a one-story Baroque structure with a hipped roof and six prominent chimneys, situated within a large park containing diverse tree species. The building now operates as a hotel with a restaurant and wellness facilities where visitors can stay and relax.

The baroque castle was built in the early 18th century by the Kořenští z Terešova family, who bought Ratměřice and Jankov in 1702 and moved their seat here. From 1751 to 1830 it belonged to the barons of Sterndhal. In 1830 Countess Henrietta Chotková bought the estate; her son Otto Chotek had it rebuilt in classicist style and founded the landscape park.

The castle's name comes from the village of Ratměřice, which the Kořenští z Terešova family acquired in 1702 together with Jankov; they moved their seat here because the old residence at Jankov no longer suited them. Count Otto Chotek, owner from the 1830s, had the surrounding landscape park laid out and planted the two giant sequoias that still stand there.

Access to the grounds is straightforward, and the park offers plenty of space for walking and exploring the surroundings. Keep in mind that the main building operates as a hotel, so entry for non-guests depends on restaurant reservations or prior arrangement.

The two giant sequoias in the park were planted by Count Otto Chotek and are over 160 years old; at more than 42 metres they are the tallest of their kind in the Czech Republic and are protected as memorable trees. The park also holds over sixty broadleaf and thirty conifer species, including a ginkgo.
