Postoloprty Castle, Baroque château in Postoloprty, Czech Republic.
The four-winged castle features a square tower and combines both Baroque and neoclassical architectural elements throughout its stone structure.
Originally established as a Benedictine monastery in 1125, the site transformed into a castle in the late 16th century under Sebastian von Weitmühl's ownership.
The castle served as a residence for the Schwarzenberg family until World War II, when Adolph Schwarzenberg fled due to Nazi persecution.
The town of Postoloprty acquired the castle in 2021 with plans to convert the structure into housing units and spaces for cultural events.
The castle underwent major renovations between 1706 and 1718 under architect Pavel Ignác Bayer, who incorporated distinctive Czech Baroque design elements.
