Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Ústí nad Orlicí

The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary is a late Baroque structure that rises prominently beside Mírové Square in Ústí nad Orlicí with a white facade and slender tower. The interior features classical Baroque furnishings with a high nave and a choir area that frames the sanctuary.

Construction took place between 1770 and 1776 during a period when the region was under the rule of the Liechtenstein family. The building followed a time of religious and political transformation that had reshaped the area over several decades.

Next to the church stands a deanery building erected in the 1740s that predates the church itself. This adjoining structure represents an earlier phase of Baroque construction in the area.
