Barokní kamenný most v Dolní Moravici, Baroque stone bridge in Dolní Moravice, Czech Republic

The Baroque stone bridge in Dolní Moravice spans the Moravice river at kilometre 86.350, about 50 m northeast of the road junction toward Horní Moravice, Malá Morávka and Malá Štáhle. Its two arches are laid from rough quarry stone, with a stone parapet and a rising, railing-less deck of the so-called Swedish type; a field path crosses it.

The bridge probably dates from the 18th century and is a cultural monument of the Czech Republic. It spans the Moravice at river kilometre 86.350, about 50 m northeast of the road junction linking Horní Moravice, Malá Morávka and Malá Štáhle. A new road bridge was built just south of it, so the stone bridge now serves pedestrians only.

The bridge carries a field path and has no parapet on its rising deck, a form known as the Swedish type. A modern chain railing was fitted in 1993. About 50 m northeast stands a statue of St John of Nepomuk dated 1751, also a cultural monument.

The bridge is accessible on foot and offers good views from above of the surrounding area. It is best visited in drier weather so you can see the stonework details more clearly.
