Chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows, Roman Catholic pilgrimage chapel in Němčany, Czech Republic

The Chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows in Němčany is a Roman Catholic pilgrimage chapel built between 1867 and 1877 from donations by pilgrims to the Lutršték spring. Inside, the sanctuary holds a main altar with a painting of Our Lady of Sorrows, a new ambo, and an altar consecrated by Bishop Vojtěch Cikrle on 22 August 2021. A small masonry chapel with a statue of Our Lady of Sorrows, a spring, a stone cross, and a cast-iron cross with a stone statue of Christ the King stand nearby.

The chapel was built between 1867 and 1877 with donations from pilgrims who came to the Lutršték spring, whose water was linked to Marian devotion and believed to have miraculous effects. It was solemnly consecrated on 17 September 1877 in the presence of many pilgrims. It was enlarged in the 1930s and repaired in the 1970s.
