Antonín Dvořák Museum, Music museum in New Town, Prague, Czech Republic
The Antonín Dvořák Museum occupies a Baroque villa with a garden containing statues from Matyáš Bernard Braun's workshop and frescoes by Johann Ferdinand Schor.
The museum began operations in 1932, displaying original furniture and objects from Dvořák's study, before becoming state-owned in 1956 under the Memorial to National Literature.
The permanent exhibition presents an extensive collection of Dvořák's musical manuscripts, correspondence, personal items, and his original piano and viola for research purposes.
Visitors can access the museum from Tuesday to Sunday between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with entrance fees of 70 CZK for adults and 50 CZK for students.
The museum holds approximately 9,000 items, including the Antonín Dvořák Archive, which gained recognition in the UNESCO Memory of the World Programme Register in 2023.
