Water tower of Plzeňský Prazdroj

The water tower of Plzeňský Prazdroj is a red brick structure rising above the brewery buildings, featuring steel frameworks and fixtures that reflect late 19th century industrial design. Its construction shows the practical engineering that supported the brewing operation.

The tower was built during the industrial expansion of Plzeňský Prazdroj to supply water for brewing operations. It emerged as part of the infrastructure that supported the brewery's rapid growth in the late 1800s.

The water tower contains archived documents detailing the original brewing methods and quality analyses of Pilsner Urquell beer from 1897 onwards.

The tower is located within the brewery grounds in the Východní Předměstí district and can be viewed during guided tours. Access is typically restricted to organized visits of the site.

Messages for future generations were placed at the tower's peak during the 150th anniversary of Pilsner beer trademark registration.
