Church of Saints Peter and Paul, Classicist church in Popelín, Czech Republic

The Church of Saints Peter and Paul is a classicist church built in 1784–1788 and consecrated in 1788, standing in the cemetery of Popelín near the municipal office. It has a single bell tower holding two bells, a larger one of about 300 kg and a small death bell. In front of the church stands a stone cross from 1876, and a memorial plaque from 1884 is set on the front wall.

Construction of the classicist church began in 1784 and it was completed and consecrated in 1788. It was restored in 1889–1890 and repaired again in 1950. Major repairs between 2001 and 2002 replaced the roof and façade.

The church is the parish church of Popelín, dedicated to Saints Peter and Paul, whose figures appear on the main altar painting. A memorial plaque of 1884 on the front wall commemorates its construction, and a stone cross from 1876 stands before the building.
