Town hall

The town hall in Dubá is a Renaissance courthouse featuring a symmetrical facade and ornamental window frames that dominate the center of the town square. The building displays typical architectural details of that era and is protected today as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic.

The building arose following a period of multiple fires that struck Dubá during the 17th and 18th centuries, shaping the town's reconstruction and planning efforts. These disasters prompted changes in construction methods and influenced the architectural form visible today.

The building anchors the center of Dubá as a focal point for local governance and community affairs. Its Renaissance facade with symmetrical proportions shapes how the public square looks and reflects the architectural standards the town once valued.

The building can be viewed from outside and its symmetrical Renaissance facade is clearly visible from the street. It is easily accessible on foot when walking through the town center, where other local shops and places are also nearby.

The building originally functioned as a courthouse and served for centuries as the administrative and legal center of the region. It still displays the Renaissance details that were carefully rebuilt following the destruction from Dubá's early history.
