The town hall in Lomnice nad Popelkou is a two-storey Neo-Gothic building on Husovo náměstí, rebuilt after the fire of 1862 and remodelled in Neo-Gothic style by architect Jaroslav Hrubý in 1903. Its tower carries the town clock and a weathervane, and a Baroque stone town coat of arms from 1817 is set into the facade. Above the first-floor windows are ten painted craft emblems by Pavel Korbelář, made in 1953.

The first town hall stood in the middle of Husovo náměstí until a fire destroyed it in 1590; it was rebuilt in 1608. In 1724 Jan Rudolf Morzin had it demolished and replaced with a stone Baroque town hall. A fire on 29 August 1862 destroyed that building together with the town archive and theatre. Mayor Vincenc Mastný bought the neighbouring plot at his own expense and gave it to the town; the foundation stone of the new hall was laid on 2 May 1864, and Jaroslav Hrubý rebuilt it in Neo-Gothic style in 1903.

Ten painted craft emblems above the first-floor windows—blacksmiths, weavers, masons, butchers, coopers, bakers, millers, shoemakers, merchants and the seven crafts—were made by painter Pavel Korbelář in 1953. A marble plaque at the entrance recalls Bedřich Smetana's stay in Lomnice nad Popelkou in 1871.

The building sits directly on Husovo náměstí in the town center and is easy to find and reach on foot. The exterior can be viewed freely at any time, though visitors should check ahead about interior access.

Look above the first-floor windows: ten painted guild emblems — blacksmiths, weavers, masons, butchers, coopers, bakers, millers, shoemakers, merchants and the seven crafts — were painted by Pavel Korbelář during the 1953 renovation. A granite cobble town crest lies in front of the building, and a marble plaque by the entrance recalls Bedřich Smetana's stay in Lomnice nad Popelkou in 1871.
