Rokytnice v Orlických horách is a Renaissance château built in 1567 on the site of an earlier fortress, with a Baroque entrance portal and a high-Baroque layout centred on the Hall of Ancestors (1706–1709). Its present facade dates from 1936–1937. A Renaissance stone jamb found in the entrance portal documents the Mauschwitz rebuilding after 1600.

The Rokytnice estate split from Rychnov in 1487, when a fortress already stood here. Kryštof Mauschwitz of Armenruh rebuilt it as a Renaissance château after 1600; a Renaissance stone portal surround survives as evidence. Otto von Nostitz added a Baroque entrance portal in the second half of the 17th century, and his son Kryštof Václav built the high-Baroque Ancestral Hall in 1706–1709. The present facade dates from 1936–1937, with restoration ongoing since 2011.

The castle church of the Holy Trinity was built by the Mauschwitz family at the start of the 17th century. Jan Karel of Nostitz later converted a shooting pavilion above the brewery into a chapel dedicated to Saints Joachim and Anne and the Fourteen Holy Helpers. The brewery itself was founded in 1569.

The castle sits on elevated terrain within the Orlické hory mountain range and offers views across the surrounding landscape. From this position, visitors can observe the mountain valleys and forests of the region, which display different characters throughout the year.
