Zámek Štáblovice, Renaissance château in Štáblovice, Czech Republic

Zámek Štáblovice stands in the centre of the village near the municipal office and the church of St Lawrence. Its core is the remnant of a Renaissance fortress built by Kašpar Rotmberk of Ketř, with a walled-up Renaissance portal in the east façade; two short perpendicular wings were added westward in the 1740s. A park and a French garden on the west side surround it.

The first written mention of the fortress dates from 1528, on the site of today's château, surrounded by a moat and ramparts. Its owner Kašpark Rotmberk z Ketře (1558–1608) added a rectangular Renaissance wing, and a Renaissance portal from that period survives in the east facade, later walled up. The Thirty Years' War damaged the fortress; repairs came under Jan Lescourant, who received Štáblovice in fief in 1654. In 1745 Count Karel Otto Salm-Neuburg completed early Baroque alterations, giving the building the character of a Baroque country villa.

The village of Štáblovice is first recorded in a 1312 charter naming Mikuláš ze Štáblovic, and the château keeps a Renaissance portal in its east façade, later walled up, from Kašpark Rotmberk z Ketře's rebuilding. The estate passed to the Sobek-Skalové z Kornic family in 1759 and stayed with them until 1945.

The château stands in the middle of Štáblovice, next to the municipal office and the church of St Lawrence, with the park and the French garden on its western side. The building is a cultural monument of the Czech Republic, so access to the interiors depends on the guided tours arranged by the owner. The village lies in the Opava district of the Moravian-Silesian Region.

Two original stone statues of Saint Florian and Saint Wendelin stand before the main building and count among the oldest visible elements on the property. These figures were preserved to honor the site's religious past and testify to centuries of local faith.
