Dobřenice Castle

Dobřenice Castle is a manor house featuring neoclassical architecture with balanced proportions, ornately furnished rooms, and two adjoining gardens designed in French and English styles. The interior spaces blend classical elements with Baroque and Rococo decorative details that showcase the craftsmanship of earlier periods.

The property was owned by the Colloredo-Mannsfeld family until World War II, when Nazi occupation led to its seizure and subsequent state control under Czechoslovak administration. Since 1998, it has returned to family ownership, with ongoing restoration and maintenance of its historical structure.

The Mirror Hall serves as a concert space where local and visiting musicians perform, while period furnishings throughout the rooms reflect the artistic tastes of past residents.

The castle is located in the Hradec Králové Region and offers guided tours throughout the year, with various rooms available for events and special occasions. Planning ahead is recommended, especially if you wish to participate in a scheduled tour or attend a specific event.

Following decades of decline, the castle underwent careful restoration in the 1990s and now maintains both its historical furnishings and contemporary conference spaces. This blend of past and present makes it a living place where history coexists with modern use.
