Českolipská 37

Českolipská 37 is a watermill built in Upper Lusatian style, situated beside a small pond with a traditional milling mechanism inside. The structure combines local stone construction with a functional design that used water power for processing grain.

The mill was built in 1799 and served local communities for grain processing along the upper reaches of the Ploučnice River. It remains a key landmark from the region's early industrial period.

The building reflects traditional milling practices and regional construction styles, with Upper Lusatian architecture shaping how daily grain work was organized and carried out.

The location sits on the northern edge of Lázně Kundratice and is reachable from the main Českolipská road leading toward the nearby village of Hamr na Jezeře. Access is straightforward and visible from the roadside.

The building was equipped with two water wheels, an unusual setup for mills of that era and region. This double arrangement allowed for greater processing capacity than typical installations.
