Hrochův Týnec Castle, Baroque château in Hrochův Týnec, Czech Republic.
Hrochův Týnec Castle is a Baroque structure featuring a quadrangular tower topped with multiple dormers and a mansard roof. The building sits within a spacious park bounded by two preserved entrance gates.
The Premonstratensian order built this as a summer retreat after 1705. Major modifications took place during the 1850s and again through 1924 to 1925.
The interior displays ornate wooden finishes crafted in the early 20th century, with the main-floor rooms showing the finest examples of this detailed work.
The castle stands roughly 8 kilometers east of Chrudim and about 12 kilometers southeast of Pardubice, reached via the I/17 road. The location provides straightforward access from these regional centers.
From 1945 through 2010, the castle housed a children's home with school facilities inside its walls. This long residential use left marks on the building before it passed to municipal care.
