Prostějov Castle, Renaissance château in Prostějov, Czech Republic
Prostějov Castle is a Renaissance building with two stories, symmetrical facades, and large windows standing in the town center. The structure is characterized by an inner courtyard that reflects the classical architecture of its era.
Jan of Pernštejn built the castle between 1522 and 1526 as a defensive structure for the town. Later renovations between 1568 and 1572 transformed it with Renaissance styling and design.
The castle hosts art exhibitions and musical performances that shape the cultural life of the town. Visitors can experience these events during their visit, as they showcase local artists and creative traditions.
