Architect Dušan Jurkovič designed the building in the early 1900s, integrating traditional Moravian and Slovak architectural elements into the Art Nouveau structure. His work shaped the character of the spa town during the height of European thermal tourism.

The building fuses Czech folk traditions with modern design principles, showing how regional craftsmanship evolved at the start of the 20th century. The ornate wooden decorations and colorful geometric patterns on the exterior reflect deep ties to local building customs.
