Zoopark Na Hrádečku

Zoopark Na Hrádečku is a wildlife facility spanning about 10 hectares of land between the villages of Dolní and Horní Pěna, with over 200 animal species in naturalistic enclosures. The grounds occupy what was once a farmstead and provide visitors with ample space for exploration.

This facility started in 2011 as a private animal collection and gained official status in 2016 after the farmstead was transformed into a modern venue. The rapid development reflects growing efforts to establish the place as a sanctuary for wildlife.

The zoo offers educational encounters during feeding times where visitors can learn about threatened animal species. These interactions help people understand conservation efforts and wildlife protection in practice.

The site is open daily, though opening times vary by season, so checking current hours before your visit is worthwhile. Comfortable shoes are recommended since the grounds are spacious and require plenty of walking.

The collection features around 15 frog species, including poison dart frogs, living in specialized habitats. These small but brilliantly colored animals draw considerable attention from visitors exploring the grounds.
