Hala Polárka, Sports complex in Frýdek-Místek, Czech Republic

Hala Polárka is a multi-purpose sports hall in Frýdek-Místek, part of a 2014 complex that also includes the OC Frýda shopping centre. Its main ice rink measures 58.75 by 28.5 metres and is used for hockey, figure skating and public skating in winter. Two opposite stands with three VIP skyboxes seat 2,060, with room for 396 standing spectators. A separate hall serves badminton, table tennis and aerobics, and a seven-lane shooting range occupies the basement.

Hala Polárka opened in December 2014 on the site of the VSH Frýdek-Místek hall, a brutalist building from 1971–1985 with over 6,000 seats that was demolished in 2013 despite architects' objections. Construction cost nearly 283 million CZK, less than expected. The first HC Frýdek-Místek hockey match took place on 21 December 2014, one day after the public opening.

The hall is the home arena of HC Frýdek-Místek, whose first match there was played on 21 December 2014, a day after the building opened to the public. In winter the ice also hosts figure skaters and public skating sessions; in summer the melted rink gives way to job fairs and other events.

The shooting range in the basement has seven lanes and was the best-equipped in Czechia when the complex opened in 2014. It is entered separately from the main hall, so visitors can reach it without passing through the ice rink.
