The Komenium building features three courtyards within an urban block layout and displays a Neo-Renaissance facade divided by horizontal cornices into four rows.
Built between 1873 and 1875, this former German real school was constructed to address teaching space shortages and enhance educational standards in Olomouc.
The ceremonial hall contains extensive allegorical scenes and mythological figures painted in tempera and glue, representing scientific and artistic historical figures.
Located at 8. května 29, the school operates with a capacity of 310 students and provides facilities for physical education, including a gymnasium.
The building's ceremonial hall, measuring 20 by 10 meters, underwent substantial restoration in 2016, revealing detailed frescoes and marble imitation paintwork.
