During the 18th century, this château emerged as part of extensive architectural developments across Bohemian lands following the Thirty Years' War period.
The structure represents a period when Czech nobility invested extensively in constructing grand residences that merged Italian Baroque influences with local building traditions.
Since April 2019, the château remains closed to visitors, with no current restoration projects or public access programs in operation.
The building incorporates regional limestone in its construction, which has developed a distinctive patina over centuries of exposure to weather conditions.
