Church of Saint John the Baptist, church building in Děkov, Czech Republic

The Church of Saint John the Baptist is a baroque building in Děkov featuring a rectangular tower on the north side and a simple rectangular floor plan. Inside, it contains a single nave with a rounded three-sided sanctuary, a 17th-century main altar, two side altars, and a wooden pulpit from the late 1600s.

A parish church in Děkov is first documented in 1381. The present early Baroque building replaced it in 1664, was rebuilt in 1729 and enlarged in 1868. It is a single-nave structure with a three-sided presbytery and a prismatic tower on the north side.

The church is dedicated to the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist, celebrated on 24 June. The village name Děkov is connected with the church's long role as the parish church of the settlement in the northwest of the Rakovník district. The building is listed as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic.
