The Church of Saint Nicholas in Dobřany is a Baroque church with a massive nave whose walls are articulated by intersecting elliptical forms. Its eastern end closes with a chancel crowned by a copper dome, and a separate bell tower stands beside the building.

Construction of the current building began in 1704 under architect Christoph Dientzenhofer, replacing a Gothic church from the 13th century. The new structure followed the trend of replacing medieval buildings with modern Baroque designs.

The church displays frescoes by Jan Lukas Kracker and František Xaver Palko, reflecting the artistry of the Baroque period. These works testify to the building's importance as a spiritual center of the community.
