Tržnice

Tržnice is a market hall in Karlovy Vary built from reinforced concrete with large windows, high ceilings, and multiple entrances that allow natural light and airflow throughout the interior. The spacious layout inside accommodates numerous vendor stalls arranged for selling fresh produce, meat, dairy, and other local goods in distinct sections.

Built in 1913, the market hall quickly became a central trading point serving local merchants and farmers in Karlovy Vary. This construction created an important commercial center that shaped the trading structure of the region for decades to come.

The name reflects the traditional Czech concept of a trading place where the community gathers for commerce and daily social interaction. Locals continue to use the space as a social hub where regular visitors and vendors maintain long-standing relationships.
